Just finished the design and launched two new sites this week, DomahidyWeber.com and JohnForJournalism.com.

Each April the past three years, I have been without steady, secure employment, without an office and wondering just how much longer I have health insurance. But in all three years the outlook has been different.

When it comes to life-altering disappointments, I highly recommend doing them in a place like Kauai -- it softens the blow considerably, especially when it is accompanied by pineapple relish.

So here it is 2009, and we here at America's Fish have been so preoccupied with the potentially impending demise of a newspaper and the impending, potentially now-annual loss of a newspaper job that we have left the news of Mike Shanahan's firing float atop our little pond like a dead fish for nearly three weeks.
