What we're working on at America's Fish

America's Fish has completed a new site for the TEN|10 Group, launching Inner-VisionDesign.com for Evergreen, Colo.-based interior designer Dawn Huckaby. The design of the site reflects her two specialities — color development and space planning — and her background in architecture, which has given her an affinity of the handdrawn aspects of her craft. Blue lines for borders and images of her finished work converted to blue line drawings reflect this.

Meanwhile, at InsideTheRockies.com, we are preparing to launch a monthly farm report later this week. The farm report is an extension of Jack Etkin's old farm report from the Rocky Mountain News. It will be released as a newsletter and e-mailed as a PDF to anyone who donates $25 or more to InsideTheRockies.com. Our hope is to receive enough support from the community that we will be able to keep the site alive next season and possibly expand the features.

We're putting the finishing touches on a couple more sites through the TEN|10 Group. One is a site for the Rocky Mountain MS Center Guild. It's an experiment in part to see how far we can extended Wordpress using e-Commerce functions to maintain membership, event registration and donations for the guild. Here's hoping that the makers of CiviCRM will consider creating a version compatible with Wordpress in addition to Drupal and Joomla. The other project is a site for Denver-based kitchen and bath designers, KitchenWorks. Both sites should be launching within a couple weeks.

The biggest project for America's Fish at the moment is the creation of an encyclopedia of Wyoming history. The project is being managed by Tom Rea, a history buff and (like America's Fish) a former journalist. The project is being housed within the Wyoming Historical Society and is still in the planning stages. This is a rather large project, the scope of which is still defining itself, but a temporary site should be launched by the end of August.
