Delay of games drags out baseball's postseason

Major League Baseball sometimes wonders why its postseason doesn't get good TV raitings. It's not that the two teams casual fans have interest in like the Texas Rangers and the Tampa Bay Rays end up playing the longest series in the first round, although that doesn't help. It's that after baseball fans get interested in the two teams because they're the only teams left playing — and fans do get interested in those games — they then have to wait three days for another game. There's no excuse for the World Series going into November will all these off days. Sure, it's nice if a team is rested for each series, but baseball needs to worry about keeping fans interested first, keeping pitchers rested second.

But I digress. These off days in the playoffs just delay what I'm really intrested in: the offseason.
