AmericasFish.com is the home of Steve Foster, a journalist, writer, graphic designer, movie projectionist and former shoe salesman. Don’t try to figure out the name — it’s a long story. He started this blog when his newspaper closed as a way to keep his head from clogging up with the ideas he used to discard in the newsroom. He worked at the Rocky Mountain News (closed), the Chicago Sun-Times (hanging by a thread) and the Longmont Daily Times-Call (still chugging). After leaving the Rocky he helped found INDenverTimes.com, a decision he later regretted, and RockyMountainIndependent.com, which he later regretted considerably less.
