Never thought Mike Shanahan would be out of a job before me, but, well, here you go. On the bright side, it looks like the job market’s opening up quite a bit if you have any experience as an NFL head coach.

America’s Fish’s mama fish wrote her first article for a newspaper this week, a small piece about Christmas music for the Fish family’s hometown paper, the Rapid City Journal. All I can say, mom, is you’re picking the wrong time to be a journalist.

Our possibly futile, hopeful, insane gesture. Thank you everyone who helped pull this together in a day.

If my return to Colorado ends in nothing more than what I’m doing now, being among the last to stand up for this newspaper, then whatever pain I feel from the outcome will be worth it. Nothing this valuable should be allowed to fade quietly away.
